Siti Maryam: ” Shut Down the Economic Route to North Sumatra, Revive Aceh’s Ports “

The Executive Director of GeuSABA, Siti Maryam Bt Ali Nordin, S.Ag, denounces the policy of North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution, who ordered raids on Acehnese vehicles with BK plates. This action is nothing less than discriminatory, arrogant, and an affront to the dignity of Aceh. It is a reckless move that tears apart the spirit of inter-provincial unity and strikes at the heart of national cohesion under the Republic of Indonesia.
Aceh will not remain silent. We will not bow. This is the moment for Aceh to rise, not with empty words, but with decisive and strategic actions to reclaim economic sovereignty. For that reason, GeuSABA demands:
1. A complete shutdown of Aceh’s economic flow into North Sumatra. No agricultural produce, no mining output, no CPO from Aceh must ever again pass through North Sumatra or be exported via Belawan Port.
2. The full revival of Aceh’s ports. Kuala Langsa, Krueng Geukueh, and Malahayati must become the beating heart of Aceh’s international trade—controlled by Aceh, for Aceh.
3. The uncompromising assertion of Aceh’s identity through BL license plates. Every state-owned enterprise in Aceh must switch to BL plates without exception. Every Acehnese with an Aceh ID card must immediately transfer their vehicles to BL plates as an act of sovereignty and pride.
The Executive Director of GeuSABA declared:
> “Aceh will no longer kneel. We will not be sidelined or insulted. Shut down the economic route to North Sumatra, revive Aceh’s ports, and restore the honor of Aceh as a proud and independent nation.”
