FOMAPAK: Arrest of 201 Flotilla Activists Proves Israel is an International Terrorist State

Langsa, October 2, 2025.ANN – The Front of Students and Youth Against Violence (FOMAPAK) strongly condemned the Israeli military’s detention of 201 international activists participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) humanitarian mission to the Gaza Strip. Among those detained, 34 activists are Malaysian nationals, with 12 confirmed to still be held by Israeli authorities.
FOMAPAK Chairman Teungku Nasruddin, SE, described the arrests as an extraordinary crime, inhumane, and proof that Israel is acting as a “terrorist state” before the eyes of the international community.

“Israel is not only violating international law but openly committing acts of kidnapping and terror against peaceful activists. The world must realize this is not just a violation, but a crime of state terrorism that stains modern civilization,” Nasruddin said in a statement on Thursday (2/10).
According to him, the detention of flotilla volunteers reflects Israel’s fear of the growing global solidarity movement for Palestine. He described the arrests as a systematic effort to silence the world’s conscience.
“The Zionist regime not only blocks humanitarian aid access to Gaza but also intimidates every attempt at cross-border solidarity. They want to silence the world, but in fact, the world is increasingly seeing the true face of Israel’s brutal colonialism,” he added.
Strong Diplomatic Pressure Demanded
FOMAPAK urged the Malaysian government to take extraordinary diplomatic measures and not stop at issuing verbal condemnations. Nasruddin stressed that the issue must immediately be brought to the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the International Criminal Court (ICC).
> “Malaysia must not stop at statements of condemnation. There must be concrete legal and diplomatic actions. Do not allow our volunteers to become victims of the occupier’s abductions. If Israel goes unchallenged, this dangerous precedent will threaten international activists in the future,” he warned.
Global Solidarity Cannot Be Silenced
Beyond urging governments, FOMAPAK also called on international civil society, human rights organizations, and solidarity networks to intensify campaigns against Israel’s actions.
“The flotilla mission symbolizes cross-national humanitarian courage. Israel may seize ships and detain activists, but they will never be able to stop the wave of global solidarity. Every act of repression will only fuel greater moral resistance,” Nasruddin said.
FOMAPAK’s Action Plan
As a follow-up, FOMAPAK announced its readiness to mobilize national and international networks to launch public campaigns, solidarity actions, and pressure for stronger diplomatic measures.
“We will make sure this detention does not fade from the headlines. FOMAPAK will stand at the forefront, demanding freedom for the 12 Malaysians and all flotilla volunteers now held hostage by Israel. No compromise. They must be released unconditionally,” he affirmed.
As of this report, families of the detained Malaysian volunteers are still waiting for updates on their loved ones’ condition. International pressure on Israel is expected to intensify following the detention of 201 activists from various countries participating in the humanitarian flotilla mission to Gaza.
